This is a campaign to establish a Community Council for the unparished areas of Three Rivers District.
An Extraordinary Regulatory Services Committee meeting is being held at 7.30pm on Tuesday 16th August at Three Rivers House. The meeting is being held to consider the final recommendation from the Community Governance Review Working Party on whether to create a Community (or Parish) Council.
You will see from the link to the agenda below that at the CGR Working Party meeting on 28th July the earlier recommendation for a 3 Ward Parish Council, was reversed and they are now proposing that a Parish Council is not set up. http://www.threerivers.gov.uk/…/extraordinary-regulatory-se…
The Campaign Team are very disappointed with this outcome as will be all those that took the time to return their postal ballot - for which the majority were in favour of the creation of such a parish council.
NOTE: the meeting is being held on the 16th August not the 15th as detailed in the link provided by TRDC.
Results of the Postal Ballot held from 27 June 2016 to 15 July 2016.
What is a Community Council?
Councillors elected by you will represent our community on local bodies at which decisions are made affecting our local community.
We will then have a say in local planning to improve and maintain the character and quality of our neighbourhoods.
